Terms of Service

Last updated 5 September 2026

These terms cover your use of Presend — the browser extension, the dashboard at getpresend.com, and the API behind them. Installing the extension or signing in means you accept them. How we handle your messages is a separate document: the privacy policy.

What Presend does

Presend stands in your compose window and checks a message before you send it. It looks for leaked secrets and personal data, links that do not match their text, missing attachments, recipients who are outside your organisation, writing that does not sound like you, and text that reads as if a model wrote it. When it finds something it shows a warning, and it can offer a rewrite.

It is a gate, not an assistant. It does not draft, summarise, or triage your mail, and it holds no mailbox access.

Your account

You sign in with Google or with a one-time code sent to your email. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping access to that inbox secure.

You need to be old enough to enter a contract where you live. If you are signing up on behalf of a company, you are confirming you may accept these terms for it.

Plans and billing

The Free plan includes 25 AI-backed checks a day. The local checks — secrets, personal data, links, recipients, attachments — are unlimited and never counted, because they run on your device and cost us nothing.

Pro is $12 per seat per month and removes the daily limit. It is billed through Stripe, renews automatically each month, and you can cancel at any time from the dashboard. Cancelling stops the next renewal and leaves your access running until the end of the period you have paid for.

We do not refund partial months by default. If something went genuinely wrong, write to us and we will sort it out.

If we change the price, we will tell you before it affects a renewal, and you can cancel instead.

Your content

Your drafts, your rules, and your writing samples remain yours. You give us permission to process them only to provide the service: running a check, producing a rewrite, and showing you your own history.

We do not use your message content to train models, and we do not sell it. The privacy policy sets out exactly what is stored and what is not.

Acceptable use

Do not use Presend to break the law, to send messages you have no right to send, or to process other people's data without a basis for doing so.

Do not attempt to bypass plan limits, resell access, scrape the service, overload the API, or reverse-engineer it to build a competing product. Do not connect a rule or an external tool that you are not authorised to reach.

We may suspend an account that is doing any of these, and we will tell you why.

What we do not promise

Presend will not catch everything. It reduces the number of messages you regret; it does not reduce it to zero. A leaked key it has never seen the shape of, a tone that is wrong for one particular reader, a claim that is false in a way no checker could know — these will pass through.

You remain responsible for what you send. Nothing Presend shows you is legal, financial, or professional advice, and clearing a check is not approval of the message.

The service is provided as it is. We do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted, that every check will be correct, or that a rewrite will be suitable for its purpose.

Services we rely on

AI scoring and rewrites are processed through Anthropic's API. Payments go through Stripe. Sign-in codes are delivered by our email provider, and Sign in with Google is provided by Google. Your use of Presend is also subject to those providers' terms where they apply.

If you connect your own tools as rules, you are responsible for what those tools return and for the access you grant them.

Changes and ending the agreement

We may change the service or these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will update the date above and tell signed-in users. Continuing to use Presend after that means you accept the new version.

You can stop at any time by uninstalling the extension and deleting your account from the dashboard. We may end an account that breaches these terms, or close the service entirely with reasonable notice and a refund of anything paid for time not used.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profit or revenue, or for the content of any message you chose to send. Our total liability in any twelve month period is limited to what you paid us in that period.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
